Summer 2023 - The attic roof was insulated with foam and the basement has been vapor sealed. We have watched the humidity in the basement drop from 86% to 60%. Some of that may be due to the dry summer so we will continue to watch that.
The steps have been on the contractor's list but they have not gotten to us yet. After the middle planter is removed and the steps made level across the entire width, we will cover them in a decorative rubber base (like the fronts steps of Brooks Funeral Home). This will protect the steps and increase traction for safety.
We want to paint the top most stripe on the side and front of the church before fall to make it easier to see if any condensation or water runs down our walls now. If you know someone we can hire of if you have interest, contact a member of the Building Committee or Fr Gunwall.
